The Dual Voice Coil design (2 x 2 ohms) means that the sub can be connected up as a 1 or 4 ohm load to your amplifier, thereby maximising the output power of your chosen amplifier. There are clearly marked terminals for the two voice coils, allowing easy connection in a series or parallel configuration.
