When shopping with us, think of it as any normal shop. You browse the products and add them to your shopping cart. Once happy you walk to a check out and proceed with payment and then you walk out with the goods. It's as simple as that when shopping with us, we will show you how. Follow the simple steps provided here and you won't go wrong.

Step 1 - Browse the products

To begin with you need to find what you are looking for, or simply browse the products we have available. If you are looking for something in particular you can go straight to the appropriate category by clicking one of the main categories displayed on the left hand side of the site. Once inside a category there may be other categories within them, just keep narrowing down into the appropriate category for you.

Eventually you will enter a category that lists products (see screen shot left). The top left has a car/engine filter and a brand filter which allows you to filter the products in that category. At the top you will also see three products side by side. These are the best selling products in that category you are in.

The products within this category are displayed further down, below the top three best selling products. They are listed in rows showing a small picture of the product, the name of the product, the price of the product, followed by a green button that says BUY.

From here you can click on a product name to see further information on the product or you can click the BUY button to add the item to your shopping cart.

The product information screen (shown to the right) displays a great deal of important information about the product like name, description, price, product options, manufacturer, manufacturer part #, the MYC model #, fitting guide info, customer ratings, customer reviews, related products you might be interested in and more! As you can see that is a lot of information to fit into one screen but it's all important because it helps you make your decisions.

From here you can enquire about the product by clicking the ENQUIRE button, you can tell a friend about the product by clicking on the TELL A FRIEND button or you can add the item to your cart by clicking the green ADD TO CART button.

Step 2 - Your shopping cart

Once you have all the items you are looking at buying in your shopping cart make sure you check it. You can do this by navigating to the shopping cart screen. On the right hand side of the site, under the live support you will see an area called "My Shopping Cart". This summarises the contents of your shopping cart. Click on the link that says CART CONTENTS. This will bring you to the shopping cart screen where you can check all the items before proceeding to the check out.

The shopping cart screen (displayed to the left) allows you to change the quantities of the items in your cart, remove items from your cart, get information on what shipping is likely to cost and proceed to the check out.

Once you are happy with the items in your cart and want to make the purchase all you need to do is click the green CHECK OUT button.

Step 3 - Creating a profile

If you already have a profile on ModYourCar enter your e-mail address and password and click SIGN IN. However if you are reading this guide it is most likely you do not have a profile so you will need to create one. Under the new customer section on the left, click the CONTINUE button.

Before we continue its best you understand what a profile is. Quite simply it allows you to provide all of your personal details which we store for you on our database so that when you make future purchases you do not need to enter in all the details again. Having a profile also comes with some other great features like a permanent shopping cart (so we store the contents of your cart until you return), access to subscribe to our informative newsletters, the ability to look at the history of orders you have had with us, the order tracking facility which allows you to track your orders with us and much more!

You might raise your eye brows about us storing your personal information but let us assure you your information is safe. On our site we use the latest form of security technology available knows as a digital certificate which provides our customers with 128-bit digital encryption to keep your personal details safe while in transit to our server.

It is now time for you to create your profile! (screen shot shown to the right) All you need to do is enter in all the required information displayed on the form and click the green CONTINUE button at the bottom of the page.

We encourage you to provide your car details so we can provide a more personalised experience on the site for you.

Step 4 - Delivery Information - the first step in the check out process

This first step shows you the delivery information. You can change the delivery address if required by clicking the CHANGE ADDRESS button. The shipping cost is also displayed clearly on this screen.

Click on the green CONTINUE button to progress to the next step.

Step 5 - Payment Information

This screen allows you to select how you wish to pay for your order. We have a variety of methods available but you choose your preferred method.

You are also given the option of redeeming a discount voucher and/or using funds in your gift voucher account. To redeem a discount coupon enter the redeem code and click REDEEM. To use your funds in your gift voucher account check the "Use Gift Voucher account balance?" check box.

Do not worry about the specifics, all the require information will be given to you once you confirm the order!

When you have selected your preferred payment option, press the green CONTINUE button.

Step 6 - Order Confirmation

This is the final screen before you confirm your order. This screen allows you to check your order from top to bottom including products, pricing, shipping details, payment information etc...

Once you are happy and have read the required terms and conditions on our site you can confirm your order by pressing the green CONFIRM ORDER button at the bottom of the page.

An e-mail confirming your order will then be sent to you with all of the information as presented to you on the order confirmation screen.
